Great planning tool for schools
What is it?
A calendardisc is a planning tool which enables you to make a circular calendar that is built up by rings each symbolizing a theme of your choice. You can divide the school calendar into different grades, curriculum, teachers, courses, parent meetings and/or school holidays. The point is that it provides you with a full overview of all annual school activities at a glance (including overlapping activities). See an example or check out our school template.
Why use it?
The most unique aspect of the circular calendar is of course the design. When dealing with a circular calendar, you can view the whole year at a glance, which makes the calendar perfect for embedding on a website/intranet or sharing with stakeholders. Furthermore, you can combine rings as you like, and you can even share them with coworkers. Let’s take an example: School administration has created a ring with holidays and general school activities, and you have created a ring with the curriculum of your 8th grade classroom. These rings can be combined in a joint calendar, which is updated automatically according to changes. When the school year is over, you can evaluate activities directly in the planning tool by creating surveys and notes. Moreover, you can repeat activities so they occur in your calendar every week, month or year, which means that you do not have to make a completely new calendar annually.
